Real couples. Real receptions. All five stars.

Every song mixed live, zero cheese, and a reception that sounds like you.
The one you've been to
The Cupid Shuffle, three times
An MC that gives you the ick
Vows on mute
A dead floor by 8:30
The one you're throwing
Every song mixed live
A mic with zero cringe
Vows crystal clear
A full floor at last call
You're not crazy for worrying about the DJ — we've all been to that wedding. Here’s what actually goes wrong.
The face you make when the DJ wings it
Watch the dance floor while a four-minute song plays all the way to the end. People start walking off it after about two, two and a half minutes. By the last minute, half the people who were dancing are sitting back at their table, and the DJ is still waiting for the song to finish instead of mixing into the next. The part everyone was waiting for, the bit they know every word to, turns up long after most of them gave up on it.
Then it ends and the room goes quiet. Everyone remembers they have a drink, a table, a phone. A different song starts and he has to fill the dance floor all over again. All night. That is not DJing. That is a playlist with a person standing near it.
Shows up late. Sweating. One speaker, no backup equipment. Then asks you, in your dress, holding a drink, what happens next in your own timeline. You are not supposed to be running your reception.
A playlist built at a kitchen table three weeks ago cannot see your cousins. It cannot see your college friends deciding at 9:15 that they are closing the place down. It cannot see the aunt who will dance to exactly one song all night, or the table of coworkers who just need one reason to stand up. It cannot see any of them, because none of them were in the room when it was made. It does not know the dance floor filled early, or that the song you were certain about is not landing. A real DJ builds the night as it happens, off what the room is actually doing.
He has bits. He has a voice he does. He has a whole routine between songs, and by nine o’clock your uncle is doing it back to him. Your guests came to watch you get married and they’re sitting through twenty minutes of someone else’s material.
And he’s branded. His logo on the booth, his DJ name on his laptop, both of them sitting in the background of every photo.
He calls you out for your first dance. Your photographer is mid card-swap. Your videographer is across the room with a light that isn’t up yet. The song starts anyway.
That dance happens once. The only record of it is someone’s phone from table nine. Then he says your last name wrong.
“Do you mix the songs in between, or do you fade to silence? Do you play the full song?”
We mix. We do not play songs start to finish and we do not fade to silence. Most songs repeat themselves, hip-hop especially, and the crowd only ever wanted certain parts of them. Songs get blended together, cut short, and left behind the moment the room starts losing interest. That is the whole skill, and it is why your dance floor never has to restart.
A few songs do earn every second, and after enough Saturdays you know which ones on sight. Mostly the room decides that, not us. When a dance floor is genuinely locked into something, you let it ride and you stay out of the way. That is judgment, and it is the part nobody can put in a playlist ahead of time.
Our DJs work at some of the Triangle’s most popular night spots. DJing a reception is the same craft in a better room.
Couples like you aren’t looking for “just a DJ who’s available.” You’re looking for a real DJ — someone who can actually mix, read a room, run a clean ceremony, elevate your reception, and keep the night intentional instead of chaotic.
You want a DJ who understands:
Just a packed dance floor, smooth transitions, and a night that feels curated — not generic.
Your full pricing guide opens the moment you hit send. No call required, and no one will pitch you on the phone.
The hardest part of hiring a DJ is that you can’t tell the good ones from a guy with a laptop off a price list. So here’s ours, by name.
You’re not booking a marketplace and hoping. The roster is small and hand-picked, and every DJ on it is trained in Justin’s exact method — same mixing style, same ceremony quality, same lighting control, same timeline precision. Whoever’s behind your booth, you get the same night.
That method did not come out of a wedding blog. It came out of weddings and nightclubs across the Southeast, Florida to Virginia, since 2012: the awkward announcements, the bad mixes, the “oh no why is he playing THAT?” moments. You get the version with all of that already taken out.
What that buys you is in the ten reasons below, and the full kit list is in the FAQ. Nothing is held back for a sales call.

On the mic for what needs one. Your entrance, your first dance, the toasts, the cake, so your guests know where to look. The occasional nudge to get the floor moving. No bits, no jokes, no commentary between songs.
A booth you’ll never notice. Solid white, down to the laptop cover. No logo on the facade, no name on the laptop, nothing of ours in a single one of your photos. No card stack, no signage, no QR code. If a guest asks for a card, they get one.
Nobody goes over the mic until your photographer and videographer are ready. Cards swapped, batteries fresh, lighting set, confirmed before every formality, every time. The moments that happen once are the ones we’re most careful with.
Your names, written out phonetically. Every name that gets announced — the two of you, your wedding party, your parents — captured in planning the way it’s actually said, so it gets read, not guessed.
And if you want the other kind of DJ? Some couples want someone who works the room with a bit and a bunch of jokes. That’s a real style and people love it. It just isn’t ours. Ask us and we’ll point you to someone who does it well.

Amazing lights
Within 5 minutes of meeting Justin, my wife and I knew we wanted to book him for our wedding. He was extremely professional to work with leading up to the wedding. He mixed in songs we had picked out for our playlist with songs that matched the energy of the room perfectly. We loved his setup and the up-lights added so much to our venue space. He was able to keep the energy high and the dance floor full the entire night (and I mean the ENTIRE night).

Handled with total professionalism
He was professional and organized from day 1, making the whole process super easy. On the day of, everything went perfect and I can't think of a single thing he missed. All of our guests raved about how awesome the DJ was for days and weeks following the wedding which is a huge compliment. He kept the dance floor full all night long and I didn't leave the dance floor a single time.

We see it before you do. That’s the job. The song gets mixed out on beat at the first chorus and rolled straight into the next one, so nobody gets a chance to sit down. A Spotify DJ fades in and out and hopes. We already know where every popular song loses a room.
All of it. You set must-plays and do-not-plays in the planning app, and you can send guests a link to request songs without letting them see your notes or your lists. If a guest requests something on your do-not-play list, the app asks you directly: should the DJ play it? Your answer wins.
Your DJ is Justin, Eli or Chris, named right in your contract. Justin is with you the whole way through planning no matter who it is, and when it’s Eli or Chris, they join him on that final planning meeting where every detail gets nailed down. By the day, the person behind your booth knows your night by heart.
There’s a backup DJ on the team and backup gear in the van. To be clear about where the bar sits: if we have the sniffles, we’re still coming. The backup is for the real thing. A hospital. A family emergency. Gear that dies an hour before doors. The plan exists so the night runs like nothing happened, because from the floor, nothing did.
Yes, as an add-on, and it runs on a completely separate system. Mics for you and your officiant, music if you need it, and we can mic a singer with a guitarist or a keys player. Our whole ceremony philosophy is heard and not seen: low-profile setup, top-of-the-line sound, every word lands.
One timeline, not two. We sync ours to your planner’s about three months out and confirm arrival times and vendor meals with them, so you’re not buried in email. On the day we run the order of events with your planner from behind the booth, and we check your photographer is ready before every big moment. Nobody is changing an SD card during your first dance.
Full reception coverage from cocktail hour to last dance until 11pm. The all-white setup (booth, speakers, lighting fixtures), pro-grade sound and wireless mics, two DJ-controlled dance floor wash lights, the planning app for music, pronunciations and cues, vendor coordination before the day, and early arrival with full setup and breakdown. Ceremony sound and time past 11pm are add-ons.
We arrive in black pants and a black company polo to set up, then change into a suit before your reception starts. Assistants stay in solid black all night. Nobody on our team is going to turn up in your photos looking like they wandered in.
Because cheap DJs cut the things you can’t see until the night is already happening. Outdated gear, auto-run lighting, no planning support, no real mixing ability. They can’t read a room or blend genres and tempos, so the party flattens and nobody can tell you why. You’re paying for lighting synced live to your music, a setup that elevates your décor instead of cluttering it, and coordination so nothing gets missed.
Three days from the moment your proposal goes out. That’s your window to sign and pay your down payment. After that we can’t hold it, and with the number of inquiries coming in we can’t promise it will still be there.
You’ve seen both weddings now. Checking your date costs nothing, takes 30 seconds, and opens your full pricing guide on the spot.
